Get A Little Greener, HP

The newest HP printer in our office needed a new ink cartridge. I had purchased the extra large black ink cartridge (74XL), which says you get three times more prints than the standard-size cartridge, so I expected it to be larger than the regular-size version. But when I ripped open the cardboard box the cartridge was packaged in, I was surprised to see that it took up less than half of the space of the box.

Going Green Where The Sun Don't Shine Much

The BBC reports that researchers have built a completely 'green' research station that they plan to construct in Antartica.

Now this makes me wonder. Is it time to take the politics out of the environmental issues facing US business and put the researchers in charge?

A Greener Shade of Fax

A former colleague is transitioning from full-time corporate employment to life as a freelance journalist. The ancient fax machine in her home office was out of thermal paper, and her new printer/scanner wasn't hooked up yet. So she drove 14 miles to another friend's office, just to fax some signed documents to a new client.
