Every and any IT investment has to have a strong ROI and produce results. But as many of you know, from real experience, that doesn't happen many times.

One way to avert that scenario is to learn how to identify "psychopathic" initatives well before they're in the making.

There's a great little checklist you can use over at ZDNET. As blogger Michael Krigsman explains the list can help you avoid costly, and aggravating IT nightmares.

He's also got some good tips to stop a good intentioned tech project from spiraling out of control and into a black hole.
