Bet On VoIP Pays Off
Yea, last week another security issue cropped up for VoIP users. But don't let that stop you from reading about how one racing organization's bet on the technology is clearly paying off.
Mile High Racing and Entertainment of Commerce City, Colorado is likely just like any small to mid-size business in that money isn't put toward fixing something until something breaks. That's the reality of a cash flow business struggling to forge ahead these days.
But as bMighty writer Kate Gerwig reports the company pushed ahead on a new converged network and it looks like they'll achieve their return on investment in less than three years. Not a bad gamble on technology if you ask me.
As one expert points out once that huge decision to upgrade voice and data networks is made the next decision is deciding "whether to make it a capital expenditure or an operational expenditure."
